Last Thursday, JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts announced opening of the JW Marriott Hotel Chengdu in China – the group’s 13th hotel in China and first in the Sichuan province capital (Chengdu). Marriott International manages this hotel as part of a long-term relationship with the owning company, Maoye International.
With design inspired by traditional Chinese motifs and craftsmanship, the JW Marriott Hotel Chengdu offers views of Chengdu’s newest landmarks, the Sichuan Library and Chengdu Museum, and is centrally located in the hub of the city’s business district.
Located adjacent to Tianfu Square and the famed Kuan and Zhai Alleys, the five-star luxury hotel features 345 rooms – 298 rooms, 47 suites and an executive lounge, fully equipped fitness center, spa and an ‘open year-round’ indoor heated swimming pool.
The Signature Cantonese restaurant – Man Ho, offers authentic Cantonese cuisine with Sichuan flavors and also provides five private dining rooms for exclusive dining experience. There are three other dining options, including Table, Chengdu Baking Company and The Lounge.
For world-class events, mettings and gatherings, the JW Marriott Hotel Chengdu has over 1,800 square meters of multi-functional event spaces, each equipped with state-of-the-art audio-visual systems. The adpatable Grand Ballroom can also be transformed into three smaller venues and there are eight additional multi-purpose function rooms for use.

The JW Marriott Hotel Chengdu is the first of five planned projects with Maoye International, owners of the property.
