The mention of Rio depicts samba playing, fun filled and waist whining carnival. But beyond this fun packed carnival, there are bustling experience, scenic places and things to marvel at in Rio. Marvelous city been Rio’s nickname, the city truly portray nothing short of that  with its graceful display of beautiful and captivating architectural conceptions , sun flowering beaches and the picturesque landscape.

Sandwiched between mountains and the sea, Rio is arguably the most beautiful city in the world. The Christo Redentor statue is another magnificent attraction of the city. The statue of Christ the Redeemer, a 38-meter statue of Jesus overlooking the city of Rio is a giant statue that lies on top of the Corcovado Mountain. The statue has become a symbol of the city and reflects the warmth of the Brazilian people. Recently, it was considered as part of the New Seven Wonders of the World

Aside from music which is part and parcel of cultural heritage in Rio, the city is also known for its affection for sports. For a true football lover, visiting the Maracana Stadium carries the significance of going on pilgrimage where they can lay their feet in the imprints of football greats like Pele and other Brazilian legends. Rio de Janeiro will host many of the 2014 FIFA World Cup games, including the final game that would be played at Maracanã Stadium which is considered one of the biggest stadiums of football in the world and also would be hosting the 2016 Summer Olympics and Paralympics. The city passionate love for sports makes it the first South American city to host the Summer Olympics.

Places like the jungle-like Parque Nacional de Tijuca, Amsterdam Sauer Museum and the Praca Floriano; where the samba musicians and other art and cultural works are displayed to give the city a true Brazilian rhythm and unparalleled beauty.

New Year’s Eve celebrations

Rio hosts the country’s largest and most popular New Year’s Eve celebrations. The huge fireworks display and music shows attract countless people to the Copacabana beach every year. People dress in white for luck and toast the arrival of the New Year. It’s usual also to have some national and international concerts on the beach for free.  New Year celebration in Rio is highly celebrated as people make new commitments at the start of a new dawn.

Soccer Match and Stadium Tour: are u a fan of football, you won’t want to miss the pilgrim to a soccer match in Rio de Janeiro!  With the knowledge of the capability of the Brazilian players, you will see the stadiums where their feet are rooted. It’s an experience you’ll never forget!  Rio’s famous stadiums accommodate over 100,000 people and have been host to many championship games over the years, including the 1950 World Cup and Pele’s last game.  From January through May, Rio de Janeiro’s Championship is played in two cups: Gunabara’s Cup and Rio’s Cup. The two champions of each cup will play the final in two games and become Rio de Janeiro’s champion team. From May through December, the Brazilian Championship will take place, in which 20 teams play against each other to determine the Country’s best tea.

Surf bus and surfing: The beaches in Rio de Janerio are breathtaking, and large numbers of sun worshipers are attracted to them. However, one of the unusual adventures about the beaches is the superb surf schools. The surf bus picks up people from Rio’s central area three times per day and takes people and their boards to the best surf beaches. These provide outstanding waves and magnificent water for the surfers to experience.

Helicopter ride: What could be better than a seeing the marvelous city from the air? From the vantage point of a helicopter, there are unforgettable views of this beautiful city sandwished between the backdrop of Granite Mountains and the Atlantic Ocean. While enjoying the incredible views, pictures of the top of some places can be taken. Total time to be spent at the sky of rio during the tour is 11minutes. Velho Marineiro: Rio’s newest aquatic venture is a small party boat that heads out for a four-hour cruise around Rio. Music, a barbecue, free drinks, and stops for swimming along the way are available during the tour. Tours run only when there’s enough demand (10 persons or more), which is fairly often in the summer. The tour operator will pick you up on the day of the tour.

Truly the marvelous city, Rio de Janiero prove itself worthy of that name with its naturally beautiful city, complete with its scenery, friendly residents and exciting night life create an atmosphere that can be found nowhere else in the world. Each of the neighborhoods has its own personality and the experience will certainly prove to be a memorable part of any vacation.
