W Hotels, part of Marriott International, Inc., has announced the opening of the W Bellevue, the brand’s first new hotel in North America in Seven years. The hotel pays homage to ‘lakeside culture with cabin-like architecture, thoughtfully reimagined traditional décor, and locally-inspired cocktails and cuisine’.
Designed by HKS Inc. lead by Mary Alice Palmer and HKS architect Tom Sprinkle, W Bellevue offers 220 guest rooms and 25 suites in the Lincoln Square expansion of Bellevue, Washington, where Marriott’s Westin Bellevue property is located.
Each room in the hotel feature design elements like side-table lights which mimic traditional dock lamps and inflatable tufted headboards, and ‘Glass Showers’ are placed in the middle of each room. Beds are adorned with painted pillowcases featuring pulp poetry while the ‘wine spilt’ carpets reflect the burgeoning wineries of the region.
The brand’s 2,300-square-foot, two-bedroom Extreme WOW Suite – equivalent to the presidential suite, is a decked-out party palace with sweeping views of sparkling Lake Washington. It features 2x king beds, a state of the art surround sound audio system, an in-room pool and poker table and retractable flat screen TV.
Guests can find incredible cuisine at The Lakehouse and enjoy speakeasy-inspired cocktail lounge at Civility & Unrest. The hotel’s 4,400-square-foot Great Room, strategy rooms and six Studios makes the W Bellevue the perfect location for any unforgettable event.
